This easy-to-operate, 7-inch color interface places you in full charge of your Charlotte home’s automation and security. See how it will help you and find suggestions to get you started.

What can the Vivint Smart Hub in Charlotte do for you?

Connecting wirelessly to sensors and other implements with radio wave signals and Z-Wave communications, the Vivint Smart Hub is the control system for your property. You can arm or disarm your system, operate lights, set the temperature, and more. When incorporating a doorbell camera, you can even speak to visitors standing at your door. The Vivint Smart Hub features a backup battery and cellular functionality to ensure reliable performance. It also gives you total remote operability through the Vivint mobile app.

Here are some of the duties you can perform:

  • Review live or recorded video streams from your integrated security cameras
  • Disarm or arm your home’s security
  • Turn lights on or off
  • Open or close your garage door
  • Change your home comfort settings
  • Speak directly to monitoring professionals

You can get even more creative with your Vivint Smart Hub in Charlotte by programming schedules or creating preferences. For example, you can have your smart thermostat change automatically nightly at a particular time. Or, you can add rules like having your entrances unlock when the fire alarm trips.

Quick guide to arming and disarming your system

Before you delve into all the fantastic things your Vivint Smart Hub can perform, you’ll want to know how to arm and disarm your home’s security. It’s simple - just adhere to these steps:

  • Touch the shield icon on the main screen and slide to the right for “Away” and left for “Stay.”
  • Stay means you will still be present inside your home and arms all devices excluding interior doors and motion sensors.
  • Away indicates you will be gone, and everything in the home will arm.
  • To disarm, simply slide the shield icon down and type in your PIN.

The Smart Hub will display a message if something is stopping the system from arming. For example, an open door will prompt you to take action. Keep in mind that you may still arm your home’s security by following the steps above. You will then need to verify you would like to circumvent the sensor that isn’t ready.

Adding users to your Vivint Smart Hub in Charlotte

Despite the fact that multiple users can be programmed when your system is installed, you will likely want to add or remove a user down the road. Here are step-by-step instructions to do so.

  • Tap the menu icon (three dots) on the bottom right of the main screen.
  • Tap “Users” and input your PIN.
  • Touch “Add new user” at the bottom.
  • Press “Name,” type in the user’s name, and hit the Next button.
  • If you want to give the user remote functionality, tap phone or email and enter the info to deliver an invite.
  • Choose Next and then create a PIN for the added user.
  • To delete a user, simply go to the menu, tap users, select the user you would like to delete, and then select “Delete User.”
